I agree with some of these previous answers, I believe that by striving to gain and then maintain your high status, the stress and the pressure to be "perfect" weighs you down, and you may develop these disorders.

Best of luck to you, stay positive=)
References :
I would have to say it is the constant stress and pressure to live up to your name- to be the best. If you become obsessed with being perfect with your work it slowly starts to effect your self image- always trying to one up everyone, even yourself. You trap yourself in a vicious circle spiraling downward. I would suggest some counseling and to those around you with the eating disorders.

I understand you are an intelligent individual, but there is always room to learn, and my main advice is to learn to become comfortable in your own skin or your will never truly be happy, or healthy at that.

Best of luck.
References :
because we have a fear of no longer being "the best" or if someone finds fault in you omg you just wanna die~so it's easier to comfort ourselves with food & lot's of it or we become so fearful we will eat to much & become so grossly over weight we'll never be liked again♦
References :
I would think it's because you are trying so hard to achive what you want, and you get so stressed over things and that would lead to these things.
